Payson Temple Open House

Ever Wonder why the angel Moroni is placed
 on Temples of the Lord??
"John the Revelator 'saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people' (Revelation 14:6). That angel has come. His name is Moroni.  His is a voice speaking from the dust, bringing another witness of the living reality of the Lord Jesus Christ" (President Gordon B. Hinkley in Conference Report, Sept.-Oct. 1995, 93; or Ensign, Nov. 1995, 70).

Transfer Week Offers Big Opportunities to Stretch - April 29th, 2015

So this has been a very interesting week! The weeks of transfers typically are. After we found out that Elder Greenacre was getting transferred, the many, many visits to families he knew began. We spent all of Monday and Tuesday visiting and seeing the families that he knew and got close to over the course of the past 6 months. It was nice to see everyone.

Well, Wednesday morning rolled around. We headed off to transfers to find out the news of where everybody was going to be assigned. It was nice to see all of the Elders and Sisters that I became good friends with. We found out Elder Greenacre was transferring to Roosevelt, UT and I was assigned to serve with Elder Leavitt! At first, there's always a little anxiety meeting a new companion for the first time. I'm sure he felt the same way about meeting me. Well, we pretty much laid everything out about each other regarding our missions when we got back to the apartment. Well, turns out Elder Leavitt is really a pretty cool guy! He is from Pierce City, Missouri. He grew up on a farm, was home schooled, and loves street hockey. He hits his hump day this month so he and I are pretty close as far as time in the mission field.  I definitely feel we'll be great companions!

Things are going pretty well here in the Grove Creek area! I'll have the opportunity to go to Jordan Capt's wedding reception.

So as far as Mother's Day goes to talk with you, I will only have access to Skype. Anyways, I think that about does it for this week! I love you all!
